Bay Area ClickHouse Week is Coming (Apr 23-27)

Great news for San Francisco Bay Area: ClickHouse is coming! The week of April 22nd is going to be entertaining for ClickHouse adopters and newcomers: Percona Live conference talks, two ClickHouse meetups, meetings with ClickHouse developers and Altinity team – you should not miss this!

April 23-25 Percona Live Open Source Database Conference is one of the main events for open source database developers and users. Altinity is a conference sponsor, so you are welcome to visit our booth at the Expo Hall and meet in person anytime during the conference.

ClickHouse appears in multiple talks here. ClickHouse development team lead Alexey Milovidov invites you to “ClickHouse Deep Dive” at 3:50pm on April 24th, Tuesday. Right after that Alexander Zaitsev from Altinity talks about “ClickHouse in Real Life: Case Studies and Best Practices”, sharing the experience of how ClickHouse helps companies to solve their problems. After those talks, Alexey and Alexander welcome everybody for extended Q&A session at Altinity booth. On April 25th, Wednesday, ClickHouse joins MongoDB and Redis in “Beyond Relational Databases: A Look Into MongoDB, Redis and ClickHouse” by Percona engineer Marcos Albe, and can eventually appear at other talks as well.

Meetups schedule is also very dense and interesting. On April 23rd, Monday, ClickHouse Meetup at Plug and Play Tech Center in Sunnyvale opens its doors at 5:30pm. Alexander Zaitsev, Alexey Milovidov, and Kodiak Data’s SEO Som Sikdar will present the full stack of ClickHouse solutions: technology, applications and high-performance cloud deployments. For those who have not tried ClickHouse yet, there will be a ClickHouse demo.

After a short break from conference activities, on April 27th, Friday, ClickHouse ‘pro’ users meetup is hosted by one of the most significant ClickHouse contributors, CloudFlare, in their San Francisco office. You can listen to advanced technical presentations from Percona’s CEO Peter Zaitsev, “ClickHouse ‘Pro’ Tips” from Alexey Milovidov and many interesting details of how ClickHouse is used in CloudFlare. There was an excellent article in CloudFlare blog a couple of weeks ago: “HTTP Analytics for 6M requests per second using ClickHouse” – more details to be disclosed at the meetup.

Both meetups welcome lightning talks – if you have something to share about your ClickHouse experience, please send details to info@altinity.com.

Also, contact us if you are interested in private meetings with Altinity team or/and Alexey Milovidov.

See you soon in San Francisco Bay Area!
